Once a convent sitting on the majestic Carthage hill, a dilapidated school building is now the scene for a complex plot that starts with such a mundane occurrence as an Islamic studies examination. With remarkable imagery and storytelling, this seemingly insignificant incident soon absorbs the viewer into an internal debate with cathartic proportions. The notions of culprit and innocent, justice and injustice, deceit and redemption are all tangled in an irresistibly woven, remotely Felliniesque storyline of power, piety and desire. The denouement, undeniably leaves us with the relentless question: Are we all cheaters?
